Okapuka is a private game reserve located just 15kms north of Windhoek. They have a large variety of game, from impala, eland, giraffe, oryx, warthog, kudu, white rhino to mention but a few, in relatively open plains. This afternoon game drive normally lasts around 1.5 hours. It is a great way to spend the afternoon exploring the African bush, getting out of the city and the chance to see some of Africa’s awesome wildlife.

At the based of the Otjihavera mountains lies Okapuka Game Ranch, a privately owned game reserve of rolling bushland and open savannahs. Home to a huge number of mammal & bird species including everything from antelopes to zebra, to giraffe, to white rhinos, this is a sure way to get a quick wildlife fix.

Itinerary

From Windhoek we travel through to Okapuka where we jump onto an open vehicle and head out on a game drive throughout the farm. Okapuka itself is huge and includes the Otjihavera Mountains, and the drive offers the opportunity to spot anything from huge herds of wildebeest, springbok to kudu, oryx, giraffe, as well as white rhino.
The game drive lasts for 90minutes before returning to the lodge and then transferring back to Windhoek.
