This 12 day guided camping safari starts and ends in Windhoek and covers Namibia’s main wildlife, desert and coastal regions in one route. It includes Etosha National Park, Damaraland, Swakopmund, the Namib Desert and southern Namibia, with time for game drives, dunes, desert towns and major natural landmarks. This is a full camping safari with scenic travel days and a broad mix of landscapes

Day 1: Saturday – Windhoek to Mount Etjo • 230 km
We leave Windhoek and travel to Mount Etjo and the Okonjati Nature Reserve. After setting up camp, there is time to relax and enjoy the reserve surroundings before dinner.

Day 2: Sunday – Mount Etjo to Etosha National Park • 220 km
We leave Mount Etjo and travel to Etosha National Park, enjoying a game drive on the way to Okaukuejo Camp. In the evening, you can visit the floodlit waterhole.

Day 3: Monday – Etosha National Park
Today is a full day of game viewing in Etosha National Park between Okaukuejo and Halali, stopping at waterholes in search of wildlife. We return to Okaukuejo in the late afternoon, and after dinner you can visit the floodlit waterhole.

Day 4: Tuesday – Etosha to Palmwag • 320 km
We leave Etosha and travel west into Damaraland, passing through dry valleys and open landscapes on the way to Palmwag. This is a long but scenic travel day, with stops along the route before we arrive at camp in the late afternoon.

Day 5: Wednesday – Palmwag to Spitzkoppe • 420 km
We continue south through Damaraland, passing wide desert scenery and small settlements before reaching Spitzkoppe. After setting up camp, there is time to explore the granite rock formations around camp and enjoy sunset.

Day 6: Thursday – Spitzkoppe to Swakopmund
We spend the morning at Spitzkoppe before travelling across open plains to Swakopmund. We arrive later in the day, and the evening is free to relax or explore town.

Day 7: Friday – Swakopmund to Sesriem • 350 km
We leave Swakopmund and travel east across the Namib Desert, stopping at the Tropic of Capricorn before continuing to Sesriem.

Day 8: Saturday – Sesriem, Sossusvlei and Sesriem Canyon • 120 km
An early start takes us into Namib-Naukluft National Park for sunrise at Dune 45, followed by Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei, reached by 4x4 shuttle and a short guided walk. After lunch and a break at camp, we visit Sesriem Canyon before returning for the evening.

Day 9: Sunday – Sesriem to Klein Aus Vista • 350 km
We travel south through the desert to Aus and our campsite at Klein Aus Vista. Arriving in the afternoon, there is time to relax or walk one of the property's trails before sunset.

Day 10: Monday – Klein Aus Vista, Kolmanskop and Lüderitz • 250 km
We travel west towards Lüderitz, watching for the desert horses that roam the plains around Aus. The day includes time in the coastal town of Lüderitz, a guided visit to the abandoned diamond-mining settlement of Kolmanskop and an excursion to Diaz Point on the peninsula before we return to Klein Aus Vista in the late afternoon.

Day 11: Tuesday – Klein Aus Vista, Fish River Canyon and Quiver Tree Forest • 550 km
We visit Fish River Canyon, stopping at the main viewpoint overlooking Hell’s Bend, before continuing via Keetmanshoop to our campsite at the Quiver Tree Forest for our final night on safari.

Day 12: Wednesday – Quiver Tree Forest to Windhoek • 500 km
We travel north to Windhoek, stopping en route for lunch. Arrival is in the late afternoon, with drop-off at your accommodation in central Windhoek. We do not recommend booking a departure flight for today.
Meals: Breakfast and lunch.
