This 6 day guided budget camping safari starts and ends in Windhoek and combines Sossusvlei, Swakopmund and Etosha National Park. It is a fast-paced route for travellers who want dunes, coast and wildlife in one short Namibia safari. The journey includes twin-share camping, simple accommodation in Swakopmund, early starts and full scenic travel days.

Day 1: Wednesday – Windhoek to Sesriem • 320 km
We leave Windhoek and travel south-west towards the Namib Desert and our campsite near Sesriem. If time allows, there is an optional visit to Elim Dune for sunset.

Day 2: Thursday – Sesriem, Sossusvlei and Sesriem Canyon • 120 km
An early start takes us into Namib-Naukluft National Park for sunrise at Dune 45, followed by Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei, reached by 4x4 shuttle and a short guided walk. After lunch and a break at camp, we visit Sesriem Canyon before returning for the evening.

Day 3: Friday – Sesriem to Swakopmund • 350 km
We leave Sesriem after breakfast and travel back across the Namib Desert towards the coast, passing through Solitaire and across the gravel plains before reaching Swakopmund in the afternoon.

Day 4: Saturday – Swakopmund to Etosha National Park • 510 km
We leave Swakopmund and travel inland towards Etosha National Park. This is a long travel day, with stops along the way before entering the park and continuing to Okaukuejo, with a possible short game drive before camp.

Day 5: Sunday – Etosha National Park
Today is a full day of game viewing in Etosha National Park between Okaukuejo and Halali, stopping at waterholes in search of wildlife. We return to Okaukuejo in the late afternoon, and after dinner you can visit the floodlit waterhole.

Day 6: Monday – Etosha National Park to Windhoek • 500 km
We leave Etosha after breakfast and travel south towards Windhoek, arriving in the late afternoon for drop-off at your accommodation in central Windhoek. We do not recommend booking a departure flight for today.
